Vampire Crabs are incredibly beautiful freshwater crabs of the genus Geosesarma. There are 75 different species which can be found inhabiting the tropical rainforests of Indonesia.

Countless numbers of these gorgeous animals are imported each year for the pet trade putting unnecessary strain on the already highly vulnerable wild populations.

Wild Crabs do not travel well and many die on import. The specimens that do survive this to the retailers are often in poor shape and do not last long.

Pholium is currently the only company in the UK with a dedicated Vampire Crab breeding program.

Here at Pholium we offer captive raised healthy specimens that are in perfect condition and fully adapted to life in your aquarium.
